Hi! I’m Mara and I live in Portland Oregon with my husband Justin and two awesome kids, Shoshana (8/12) and Matan (7/14). Motherhood was a big change for me. On top of this my mother died (5/16) from metastatic breast cancer. When my mother died I decided to quite my job and be a stay at home mom. Her death made me rethink what was happening in my life and how I spent my time. Time is not renewable.
I started this blog to write about how this plays out, about family, about getting out with two little kids and hope. Along with all that I’m adding in my experience and knowledge in sports, recreation and tourism (work/Masters degree). I want to inspire people and families to get out, explore and make memories.
